Does it hurt to omit the smart quotes and tone down the “clever” formatting? Is being wrong anonymously somehow more palatable than being wrong by name even when everyone knows your name? It doesn’t help us… so again, how on this beautiful plane of existence does it help you? Is it a game of straws upon the Camel…? What will you do with that broken animal when you get it?

<pre> tags. In fact, <pre>
tags should generally be avoided. If they must
be used, extreme care should be
taken to ensure that their contents do not
have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent
horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor
intervention).
