marto, You said:

You're making yet more assumptions, a course of action which hasn't worked out well for you so far in response to virudinesh.

Assumptions? Hasn't worked out well for me how? How have I been affected? What have I suffered from calling you out for being an arsehole? Perl is my hobby, not my livelihood. Perlmonks is one of my favoties sites. I can still use it. I get excellent help. And when I think I can, I try to give help back. How hasn't it worked out well for me? I you are worrit about XP, then, 10 minutes after my response to you, my XP went up 10 points, without any voting or posting on my part. SOMEBODY doesn't like your contributions! Not assumption, just fact. You need to back off novices and everyone else and stop acting so stupidly. As for MY XP? Nobody is even aware of my usage of perlmonks but me. I don't work for anyone. Its a hobby.

"I looked into yours" What sample size I wonder?

Search for your own bloody name. It doesn't take long to find posts like "Stop it marto".

Sorry only for apologizing to you. You've learnt nothing. My "vitriolic responses, and offensive language". Really? Who are you? I can guarantee that they are WAY less damaging and OFFENSIVE than your NASTY criticism to newcomers. You're still an arsehole and others seem to agree. Try to learn something from this.

I should have stuck with "I don't have time for your BS"

Anne

Title:
Use:  <p> text here (a paragraph) </p>
and:  <code> code here </code>
to format your post; it's "PerlMonks-approved HTML":

  • Are you posting in the right place? Check out Where do I post X? to know for sure.
  • Posts may use any of the Perl Monks Approved HTML tags. Currently these include the following:
    <code> <a> <b> <big> <blockquote> <br /> <dd> <dl> <dt> <em> <font> <h1> <h2> <h3> <h4> <h5> <h6> <hr /> <i> <li> <nbsp> <ol> <p> <small> <strike> <strong> <table> <td> <th> <tr> <tt> <u> <ul>
  • Snippets of code should be wrapped in <code> tags not <pre> tags. In fact, <pre> tags should generally be avoided. If they must be used, extreme care should be taken to ensure that their contents do not have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor intervention).
  • Want more info? How to link or How to display code and escape characters are good places to start.
