Who What Where When!

While composing Re: Re: ISO 8583 I realised that there are some link shortcuts missing from the Monastery, namely who://, what://, when:// and where://.

It may not be as accurate as what [jargon://] may give you, but it is definitely more up to date and definitely more fun.

Update:
After doing some testing on Googlism, I'd have to agree with sauoq and tye. At one point in the past, I was sure it was doing different things for different type of queries. It doesn't seem to do that anymore. So I guess a [googlism://] without type parameter would be best. If anyone would take the trouble of implementing this, of course ;-)

Update:
Actually, I like Aristotle's suggestion for [ism://] even better.

Eeek apparently I am "the employer’s senior vice". At least muzza gets a better deal :-)

Please don't tell me I was the only one whose first reaction was "I wonder what it says about me" *grin*

    Nice idea BTW.

Maybe I'm missing something. Why not replace all of those with one googlism:// tag?

      You're missing the type param.

Testing, it appears that the who/what/where/when makes no difference on the results you get back and so I'm left to assume that it is only used for googlism to clump "popular" queries into groups.

It also doesn't appear to be required. I don't particularly like using up so many words for so little functionality. I don't think it makes total sense to have a link that can get clicked over and over be a candidate for becoming a "popular query". And I don't think the words are mnemonic for googlism nor vice versa.

So I'd be more inclined to have a single [googlism://...] link type instead. I just worry that they'll get tired of people thwarting their cute "popular query" compiling and make the type required one day. Oh well, they'll likely change the interface in some other way one day anyway (or just disappear)...
