bblustein has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

Once again, my fellow monks, this novice has run into an issue I'm unable to solve with my still limited experience.

I currently run automated processes that call upon a bank of servers. I am responsible for load balance on these servers, but I have no admin rights. The only way I can tell what the current number of connections is at the moment is to browse through Windows, right-click the server, and look at the properties tab. In order to automate this load monitoring, I need to find a way to get the current number of connections on these Novell Servers in perl. I cannot do anything that requires admin rights on these servers, including installing anything on the servers themselves.

Numerous internet and book searches have yielded nothing to help me so far. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. If I can just find a way to get that information, coding alarms/warnings/ and automatic balancing should be a breeze. Thank you in advance
