After speaking to dimlight21 in the CB, this is on Redhat 9. Try unsetting the LANG environment variable in your shell (unset LANG in bash) and try the build process again. If the information in this post is inaccurate, or just plain wrong, don't just downvote - please post explaining what's wrong.
