Hi, different Anonymous Monk here.
Just thought I'd post to point out the obviously contradicting opinions of the Perlmonks community:
- Examine what is said, not who says it.
- The Anonymous Monk's opinion is worthless (unsually unstated).
Using someone's anonymity as an excuse not to evaluate their argument will not teach you anything. Maybe you should realize that registering an account isn't some great achievement that's required to have your opinion heard.

You're missing the points.
No one here can speak for the community as one.
And for somone who hasn't even taken the effort to join the community making a claim like this is doubly ridiculous!
As to your assertion that "The anonymous monk's opinion is worthless", I suggest you spend some time seeing how various people have answered their questions and voted on their replies. If the question shows they are making an effort, it gets approval. If they make a good suggestion for an answer, it gets approval.
That's one of the reasons this place works - effort is encouraged, trolls/freeloaders etc tend to meet Nodereaper and get bored.
I can only assume that you're trolling here - if you took the time to look around, you'd see how false your assertions are.
