mucker has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:
Hi,
i've been trying to use pdf::api2 to read in a pdf file and make changes to it. Unfortunately i am having difficulty identifying and extracting the objects(i.e. the text and the pictures) in the original pdf file, in order to modify them. I was also having problems with creating a pdf file; i can't seem to appropriately postion the objects on the page, or even be sure that they actually fit on the page. I was hoping that somebody could please help me out.

There was a discussion on something similar here that may be of some help.
As far as modifying PDF's the NON-Perl solution is to open the file in Illustrator and make your changes. It can be done but it's a pain.
