About Perl itself, you may listen to a whole speech by merlyn talking about Perl for fifty minutes. You might be able to extract the relevant piece. ;)

in Larry Walls "Camel Lot #6"-talk (perl6) you can hear "Master's voice" saying the word "perl" at 16 min 00 sec, 16 min 07 sec and 16 min 11 sec. But don't be disappointed ... it's rather short ;-)
