Of course, I don't want to discriminate against anyone here. This is just a trade-off between a list that will allow the majority of monks to choose their country of orign and having a list that is too long. The question should be "Where do you live?", rather than "Where are you from?", since quite a number of people probably hail from a different country than they currently live in.
