in thread Python Monks?

We haven't decided on a name yet (that will come much later" but the forum will definately not be called "PythonMonks." To do so would seem like a cheap ripoff and would imply an association with this site. Like I said, it will be fairly different.

While the new engine and site are cool and all, I think that best things (and PerlMonks is among them) should be taken into consideration and studied from. Something like a web ring of sites like this for different languages would really help to bring developer crowd closer together and share the minds. It even might decrease the amount of useless flames on the web, who knows. :)

I should clarify. By "association" I meant being owned/operated by the same people.

As for bringing them together under a single web ring, it's not something I would want to rule out, but I'm not sure of the advantages. I guess it all depends on how you go about implementing it. I have a feeling it would end up either as a few links on the bottom of a page, or some sort of tabbed virtual sections on a site that ends up reducing a site's character. In my opinion it would just be better to have members of each forum mention other sites if they have found them useful.
