poem
Ozymandias
We (#perlmonks) were discussing [vroom]'s new geek accessory, his Handspring Visor, and arguing the merits of the "ice" translucent case vs. the "graphite" one when this sprang - completely unwanted, mind you - into my brain and through the keys.
<p>
It's not quite Perl Poetry - save that this connection can be drawn:
<code>Handspring => vroom => PerlMonks => Perl => Perl Poetry
</code>
So it all makes sense, right? <G>
<p>
With apologies to <a href="http://www.ketzle.com/frost/fireice.htm">Robert Frost</a>:
<p>
<blockquote>
<b>Graphite and Ice</b>
<p>
Some say the Visor will be graphite,<br>
Some say in ice.<br>
From iMacs seen in good light,<br>
I hold with those who favor graphite.<br>
But if it must be purchased twice,<br>
(to give one to his friend nate)<br>
I must admit that for Visors ice<br>
Is also great<br>
And would suffice.

Somebody hurry with that Rydalin...
<p>
<b>Update:</b> To prove I need the Rydalin - or a straightjacket - this poem has been bugging me all day. I finally figured out why; I skipped a line vs. the original rhyming scheme. So that's fixed now, with the insertion of line #6. <G>
