this book contains 70 of the 247 articles written for TPJ. If each of the three Best of TPJ book contain the same, then that only leaves 37 not included.

According the the O'Reilly website, Volume 2 contains 40 articles and Volume 3 contains 47. So, in total, we have 157 of the 247 articles.
