According to Googlism, March is poison prevention month and Burger King's "Month of Action".
I can only hope that it is mere conincidence...

by rozallin (Curate) on Mar 02, 2003 at 20:55 UTC
Linaria Cymbalaria is a European trailing herb with rounded leaves that is often grown in hanging baskets, and is known also as Pennywort, or March.

    So now you know.

März in German, which reminds me of this lovely beer they have in Bavaria called Märzen, I believe because it was first brewed in March. Even people who don't like beer tend to like Paulaner Märzen because it is oh-soooo malty. But then again, de gustibus non disputandum est.

    --
    Allolex

As a case of minor nitpicking, shouldn't that be "disputandam"? I may be wrong, though, since it's been a while since I last used any latin (outside of quidquid latine dictum sit profundum viditur, anyway ;)).

Outside of that, it never ceases to amaze me that there are people who like beer, malty in taste or not. :) But as you said...

      --
      mowgli

No, it should definitely be 'disputandum' - something like a neuter nominative singular (present) gerundive, if that dusty brain cell in the corner isn't taking the mickey.

March is named after Mars because March is traditionally when winter is over enough for fighting to resume. Which gave rise in the 30 Years War to the saying. Armies do not stand idle in the Spring.

For better or for worse, Iraq shows that some things never change...

The month in which, within this year of our lord (2003) I shall turn 30.

I'm lamenting the loss of my childhood this month, so tread lightly.

March.... March is the month of the anonymous alcoholics in Germany. They call it "Fasching" or "Karnevall" :) Some men are dressed like woman (don't ask me why, I don't understand germans:)) ) Woman painting themselve (like they do that every day). During the evening everybody become boozed. That's the month, having sex with woman, U'll never see again :)) "God bless March" cheers IceZero
