Replies and previews.

From your user page, there is a link to a page that gives you a list with your write-ups, which are listed along with their reputation.

It would be extremely useful if it would also list the number of replies. Then you don't have to check a gazillion pages to see whether someone replied to your write-up or not.

Furthermore, it would be useful that whenever you make a write-up you always have to ability to do a preview. But that isn't always an option. Currently, I have the options preview and new, but sometimes (I think it is when you want to reply to a reply), all you get is submit, with no option of previewing and correcting mistakes.

There is an option that can be set in your user settings that will generate a /msg chatterbox message when someone replies directly to one of your posts (it does not generate a message if someone replies to a reply to your post).

Also, when only the submit button is present, that's an indication that when you submit it, you'll be able to edit it again. Simply scroll down, correct the text in question, and click submit. This will update the existing text, not add a new node.

I know about the chatterbox (which I have off anyway), but that's not what I'm looking for. I don't need a one-time instant message. I'd like to see an overview.

Yes, that would be a nice feature, it has been mentioned a few times. Have faith, it will get added in. There are new features almost every day...

I'm not sure what you mean by "one-time," as the chatterbox message remains until you clear it. Also, when people spot errors in your posts, they will often send a chatterbox /msg about it, so that you can fix it, so it might not be a good idea to have it off. Or, you could just grab the XML for your private messages...

On your first point - In your settings there is a checkbox to indicate that you'd like a /msg in the chatterbox when you've gotten a reply.
On the second point, I agree wholeheartedly.

Yes I also feel the same, bcos to see the replies to my question I have to either remember the queston no. else I have to look by the dates to see the reply to my question, which becomes pretty time consuming if there are a large no of questions posted on that day. Also The ability to preview our comments when one is replying as now that option if present would be great.. --Pandey

Perhaps this will be easier with the new Server, or at the very least a small project ( Because you know, vroom and the others can't have enough work I mean..hey, hang on a second...Dammit vroom, get yer ass back to the computer...you're hungry? Too bad! Sorry, where was I? )

The beatings will continue until morale raises.
