The O'Reilly book is interesting, and their code is nice, but this has nothing to do with my question. I'm looking for Net::Server{::Fork|::Multiplex|::PreFork} type behavior that works in Windows 2000 with ActivePerl 5.6.1. I know how to make a socket thank you. :-) john
