Once you've got Tk up and running, here's some good tutorials to give you a jumpstart:

Hiya brother fork, and welcome to the Monastery 8^)
I did a quick search for 'install module' in the search form at the upper left, and turned up hundreds of hits to nodes that might help you out. As a completely fair an unbiased observer, my two favorites are "A Guide to Installing Modules" and "difficulty using CPAN.pm".
Would you give them a read, and let us know what (if any) problems you encounter? No shortage of smart+friendly monks here if you do encounter snags. Of course, this all assumes that what you want to do is install the Tk CPAN module.
cheers,

Assuming you are wanting the Perl/Tk extension
Probably as root type cpan -i Tk
For information once it's installed type perldoc Tk
A search on perl monks and google etc will find lots more help/information | [reply] |
This is not really a Perl question, so should probably be asked in another forum.
You're also not very clear in stating your environment: "linux 8.0". You are probably referring to the version number of your distribution. The biggest distro that recently reached an 8.0 version is Red Hat, so I'm assuming that's what you're using. Check out your system documentation for help on this. Hint: look for the commands rpm, urpmi or look for an icon or menu item about "RPM" or "Install software" or something (I'm not on a RedHat system myself, so I can't check more thoroughly).
