Considering you only have six hours, don't bore them with terms they'll likely forget (assuming your audience is composed of high-school/college gen-ed'ers), just show them a bunch of stupid javascript tricks™ to get them interested in programming. Then, at the end, talk to them about CGI and Perl... and name-drop Perl Monks. Maybe we can get a few converts... John J Reiser
