RE: (2) ? why do you vote like you do ? (zdog's faqlet)

Russ - yeah, I believe yours is the recent node that kudra remembered. If I had found that thread in my prior search, I probably wouldn't have posted my own question.

I hate to have unwittingly re-hashed an old discussion, but some great posts resulted.

Voting guidelines appear to be highly individualistic, but could a collage of the responses perhaps be added as "suggestions" to the Voting and Experience System ? Would it be worth vroom's time ?

Update: zdog has graciously offered to write the "Voting Guide Faqlet" that mdillon and Russ recommend below, and I've encouraged him to run with the ball. I'll be unplugged for a couple days, and I expect zdog will do a better job with it anyway. :^)

Update #2: I believe this Voting Guides FAQlet is the result of zdog's work. (I was right... zdog did do a great job) :^)

        cheers,
        ybiC
I believe it would be worth the time and effort. mdillon's faqlet idea sounds just right.

The best way for vroom to accomplish this would be to have the collage compiled/written for him. Sounds like a great way for a certain scribe to contribute... ;-)

      Are you interested?

      Russ

Update: ybiC volunteered as I was suggesting the very idea... :-)

to me, this appears to be an excellent candidate for a faqlet in the (OBE) Voting/Experience Information section of the Perl Monks FAQ. it would be nice if someone collected together the recurring suggestions among these numerous threads about voting guidelines into a single "Voting Guidelines" faqlet.
Unless one of the many, more qualified, Monks wants to, I'm willing to compile (bad pun intended) an initial draft for senior Monks' review.

It would be a while, as I'm travelling July 3rd and 4th, and back to the salt mines on the 5th.

Update: zdog has graciously offered to write the "Voting Guide Faqlet" that mdillon and Russ recommend above, and I've encouraged him to run with the ball. I'll be unplugged for a couple days, and I expect zdog will do a better job with it anyway :^)
