Your criteria seem difficult to define. What is "understandable" in Perl? What is "beautiful"? Perl's very nature seems to make setting these standards very difficult. Is there an equivalent in Perl to the Hoch Deutsch or King's English that news casters use to allow for the maximum clarity?

For me what is important is what is explained. I love strumbling upon some advanced technique that I've never seen before (but please, in production code could you throw me a bone and add a comment?).
