How to "un"consider a node?

I made a boo-boo :\

I wanted to send a message to cacharbe about a broken url in his node, but at the end of a long and brain-frazzling day, I submitted it in the considered box instead.

Is there a way for the person who considered a node to unconsider it?

Sorry about the mistake :(

    Try adding something like the following to the CSS in your User settings:
    #approval_nodelet input[type="text"] { background: #ffcccc; }

    Now the consideration reason box will show with a pale red background, making it impossible to mistake it for the chatterbox.

    Otherwise, you would have to check whether one of the editors is online and /msg. (And make sure you use the chatterbox input this time around. ;-) )

    Makeshifts last the longest.

      Hey, that sounds reallyfamiliar ... ;^)

      Anyhoo, not all browsers (notably, IE) support CSS2's [attribute="value"]-style selector, so in my user settings I use ...

      #approval_nodelet input { background: #cc9999; } #approval_nodelet td { background: #ffeeee; }

      ... to similar effect, but with greater browser support.

          --k.

        And you still managed to confuse it for the chatterbox? Wow. You need a rest. :-) (Argh, I was really half asleep. Of course you weren't the original poster.)

        As for the selector, I wouldn't know, I use standards compliant software. :-) Namely, Mozilla.

        Makeshifts last the longest.

    No. Only janitors, gods, and possibly a few others can directly unconsider nodes.

    If you're not comfortable using (or able to use) user-defined style sheets, you can also re-order your personal nodelets so that there's a bit of space between the ChatterBox and the Approval nodelet.

    Of course, nothing beats looking thrice before you stubmit, but we've all been known to /msh something up from to time.

    Thanks, everyone for your replies.

    After that slip, I removed the approval nodelet completely (after a little self-flagellation), but then after reading the replies, I followed Kanji's and Aristotle's advice to use styles to highlight the approval nodelet.

    Thanks again :)
