This is correct. They are recycled 25-50 years after a person's death (From SSN people here in Houston). Additionally if there are 1 billion active SSN's out there, then the 1 billonth would be alphanumeric 00a-000-0000 Stick with VARCHAR(9) --KristoferUpdated: Forgot my p tags
