Company to Match Perl Foundation Donations

by Jazz (Curate)

Me/my company has just decided to match everyone's donations to the Perl Foundation by 50% (up to US$2,500). I will post here when the $2,500 has been met.

Users of one of our sites wanted to make donations to our site, but we prefer to divert those donations to the Perl Foundation, which we believe to be of much more long-term value.

If you or your company wish to donate to the Perl Foundation, please see this thread elaborating on the matching donation offer.

Even if you choose not to take advantage of our matching offer, please donate anyway. Any denomination can help.

I wonder why the select box at the donation page defaults to "Mozilla Development Fund".

    - Yes, I reinvent wheels.
    - Spam: Visit eurotraQ.

Me, too. I've just sent a message to Kurt, asking what can be done about it. Wouldn't want people to donate to the wrong fund, when our drive is for perl (though all are apparently needing funding).

Update: Kurt replied and said that The Mozilla fund was the default option because it was the most recently added fund. He also noted that default has been changed back to the Perl Development Fund.
