dwatson06 has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:
I'm having problems setting up SSLeay on a Windows box.
First of all, the SSLeay requires OpenSSL installed. The OpenSSL documentation says I need to install VC++, A gnu compiler or Cygwin to compile OpenSSL. Then there is a referrencing problem in Cygwin...
Is there a shorter way to use SSL through my perl script?
On the Windows box, there is a Verisign encryption key, does anyone know if/how I could route through it or any other options would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Daniel
