in reply to Any monks going to be a YAPC 2006?

On a similar_but_not_entirely_related note. Does anyone know of a British/European version of YAPC?
I think it would be a pretty useful thing to attend but neither myself nor my employer will be willing to pay for trans-atlantic flights so that I can attend :-(.
Surely there are a large enough amount of European Perl users for this sort of thing to be viable?
UPDATE: Oops, lookslike I ought to have done a touch more research before I posted. Anyway I will be there if I can get the time off work.

I'm going to try my best to attend YAPC::Europe.

Update Thu Jun 8 15:23:58 CEST 2000: My boss said I could go...chances of attending are improving!

Update Thu Jul 6 07:51:37 CEST 2000: I'm going to be there.

Any plans for a Perlmonks birds of a feather?

I'm gunning hard to be at YAPC::UK. It'll be a blast. We now have a venue (ICA) and a theme ("The Art of Perl"). Expect a Call For Participation soon.
