It sounds as though you might be looking for Tk::BrowseEntry (the manual says "BrowseEntry is a poor man's ComboBox"). There are 2 demos for it in the <samp>widget</samp> demo. Searching cpan.org reveals there is also a Tk::JComboBox widget, which might be what you need (I've never even installed it).
