Dominus wrote the code that ActiveState used for their
regex debugger. It's available for download on his
website:
http://perl.plover.com/Rx/ Of course, as he says: "Rx is not yet a complete, end-user application; it is a kit for building such applications," so it's probably not what the original poster is looking for. Just an interesting side-note.
