Time zones setting and thread reply sequence

Hello monks,

Can someone tell me whether the replies in a thread are sorted by local time or UTC.

Or are they just displayed in the order in which the server receives them.

If it is based on local time (which evidence seems to suggest, see my posting Re: Override Data Display Method), this is jolly unfair (as in jolly unfair old chap) to the Brits like me, and also a bit unfair to the Eastcoasters as well. Anyone from a more Westerly time zone can jump the queue - sorry, line.

This just isn't cricket, what?

By default, replies are sorted from first posted to last posted. There is a box you can check in your User Settings to have them sorted from highest reputation to lowest reputation.

I looked at the thread you referenced, and the nodes appear to me to be in the right order. The earlier nodes have lower node ids and earlier times.
