I've seen lots of interesting posts, on both sides. They seem to boil down to this:
Are the dingbats patches that compensate for desired functionality, or are they merely ego tattoos? So far my impression, at least from those in favor of the usage of such splash, is that these are functionality patches rather than advertisements. So by all means fully integrate the bylines into all PM functions and have done with the workarounds. Matt
