We've had similar discussions before and the upshot has generally been that nuking lousy nodes "just because" runs a little counter some of the spirit of the place. People screw up from time to time and it's good to be reminded that everyone makes mistakes. (Now, whether they acknowledge those mistakes is another thing entirely.) Also, the opportunity to reply to such nodes can't be underestimated. I can think of a few key threads over the past year that've led to some interesting, thought-provoking replies. (They're pretty easy to find.) Besides, with the number (and near ubiquity) of the janitors, it's also pretty easy to get a truly valueless node quickly tossed. In short, we could certainly add tools like this, but there's really nothing better than people learning to police themselves and to think/preview before they post. YMMV... --f
