For the very reasons you give, nodes (with hopefully well-written titles, heh) will stand less on the merit of their content than previously. On both Seekers of Perl Wisdom and The Monastery Gates you can see the number of replies. Well for my taste thats enough, as I tend to view those categories and read shortly over or through the questions until I find one of interest.
