Since I have read RFC 48 (http://dev.perl.org/rfc/48.html), I have the biggest hopes for Perl 6. At last this wart inherited from C will disappear!

I even hope this RFC will be in effect as soon as Perl 5.8.0.

    If you like that RFC, you really should check out Time::Piece which implements most of the ideas presented there....
