I am spear heading a community offered course in Web and Internet Technology. The course is a 6 month effort to produce a web site. It will involve all aspects of Web and Internet development: design, graphics,
programming (perl of course), editing and content development. The students are pre-teens, teens and young adults some of whom would not have the resources to participate in such an experience. The teachers are all established professionals both local and international who are volunteering their time. The equipment and bandwidth have already been donated and we are well underway.
Now for the subject of this blantant solicitation, we don't want your money, we don't want equipment no no no. We want a picture of your chair! The details can be found at chairshrine.org.
Finally, I gave this alot thought before posting. Many of the students come from troubled backgrounds have dove into this with new found ethusiasm. I now have a clase of 15 aspiring Perl programmers. So I hope my fellow monks will contribute you bottom supports in the spirit of fun, learning and growth.
Respectfully,
