in thread Anyone working on a cbstream replacement?

I asked what IRC channel. That is a github web address. I looked at the page, but there was nothing there specifying the IRC channel either.

No matter how hysterical I get, my problems are not time sensitive. So, relax, have a cookie, and a very nice day!

You said "but without cbstream or something like it", this is about as like it as is available right now.

marto, when I "used" cbstream, I logged onto the Freenode server and joined the #cbstream channel. That is all I did. What choroba wrote may work, but I was expecting an IRC server and channel to join, exactly how cbstream worked. So, if there are detailed instructions, which include an IRC server and channel, I will use what was written; but without those instructions, I am completely lost.

Never expect users to know how to use what is written without documentation (or at least comments somewhere). That's one reason why I will, more than likely, never upload any modules to CPAN. I am horrible at writing documentation.

Other CB Clients is displayed below the chatter box input form, on every page. These tools are linked to there. Had you looked at that or the code linked to you'd know this has nothing to do with IRC. You're 'completely lost' because you haven't looked at any of the above.

AFAIK was cbstream a private project of a honourable monk and not part of the local framework.

When it stopped working choroba started his own workaround project.

I'm afraid if you want a new IRC cbstream you'll need to hack it on your own.

        Whining won't help.

        Cheers Rolf
