It sounds like you are aware of the way to create an ODBC DSN, but perhaps these links will help:

Despite the names, the 32 bit ODBC Manager is in SysWow64 (and as you point out, that's where you want to find the drivers). Could you provide more information about how you're setting up the environment to perhaps get better help?
