In my case it looks like:
export POSTGRES_HOME=/usr/local/pgsql
export PGLIB=$POSTGRES_HOME/lib
export PGDATA=$POSTGRES_HOME/data
export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=$PGLIB
export PATH=/usr/bin:/usr/local/pgsql/bin:$PATH

inside .bashrc.
