in reply to IP change

Hi Hopes (no pun intended),

I'm in Portugal and had the same problem. My dns server at work and my dns server for my home cable machine had the same problem. I couln't acess www.perlmonks.org, since it resolved to a bad ip address.

As I was starting to sweat from PM deprivation, I used this list of web traceroutes to find the new PM IP. I did noticed that the only other DNS servers with problems where in Australia, but I only checked a few, so there could be more.

I spent some time in the chatterbox and it apeared that other monks where having the same problem.

The conclusion arrived was that the IP changed, but the TTL had not been decreased, as my DNS server still had 10 hours until renewing the IP from perlmonks.org
