there are unfortunately quite a few monks around here who have very negative knee-jerk reactions to Perl 6 Sure, but there are also monks who spent a lot of time with it and have developed an informed, negative reaction to it.	[reply]

I disagree with you on the subject, but that's OK for me: you and I are perfectly entitled to have our own diverging opinions on this, we just can't agree on everything. Update: `s/months/monks/`. I agree totally. Apart from my concerns about the name, I see no harm in people using Rakudo for whatever reason. It doesn't meet my needs. It meets yours. We could say the same of a thousand technologies.	[reply]

Some of us have an informed negative reaction towards Tk or Windows. Do you think that's reason enough to hijack threads and spread hate whenever Tk or Windows was mentioned? (Like some monks here love to do if Perl6 is concerned?) Personally I would have preferred to have called this product Perl++, alas there is no TimeMachine.pm on CPAN.
