Results are well laid out and explained, but I would have preferred if they would have listed the percentages in each category in descending order instead of seemingly random across the board.

Done, but the questionaire kinda sucks. There is a maximum number of perl5 versions to choose from, and 5.26 isn't even one of them

"Do you use perl6 (or plan to)" is the *only* question about perl6

I wonder what can be filtered out of the answers.

I tend to agree that the survey was not well written. :(

Done. I'm not a software developer by trade, but find it useful to help with my job (i.e., network automation and text processing for analytics). Hopefully my results don't skew the survey :-).

Hopefully my results don't skew the survey :-).

Quite the opposite is true: Perl is a tool to get things done. (And IMHO, the best general-purpose tool for getting things done.) It does not matter if you use perl to make your network run smoothly, to fiddle with genomes and proteines, or just to adapt one legacy system to a future legacy system. Software is not developed as a form of art (it can be one), but to solve problems.

Dollars: what country? I'm assuming US, but there's an agreed-upon nomenclature. Given that there's a significant Canadian and Australian Perl community, for example, this is poorly thought out.

I would comment on the survey page, except the "CODE" image is broken. Anyone have a contact for the authors?
