have to work on Windows, which I don't think has built-in support for that sort of thing There are RAMDisks for Windows, even free ones. I use an old version of SoftPerfect RAM Disk (v3.4.7) that is freeware, no questions asked. It seens v4.x has become payware, but v3.4.x is still available on several sites. Alexander
