I think about it by analogizing to similar relationships in other family trees: Pascal -> Modula -> Oberon; Lisp -> Scheme -> Dylan; sh -> ksh.... If there were a community website for FORTRAN programmers, would they be justified in forbidding discussions of RATFOR? I think not. And so it is here.

I reckon we are the only monastery ever to have a dungeon stuffed with 16,000 zombies.
