There are restrictions and therefore it is "restricted". The alternative would be "unrestricted" which you've clearly explained isn't the case. Seems a fair, informative word to me.

Will you be at YAPC::*? Should be an excellent opportunity to sell these to an interested audience. A signing would surely help boost the profile too.

Yes, you're right, the license is restricted, I was not challenging that. I was only saying that's not the first thing I would have said about it. But that doesn't really matter; the main point in my eyes is that it is freely available for download by anyone. I'll be at the European Perl Conference in Amsterdam in August (and, as pointed out by Rolf, at the French Perl Workshop in June), but I will not come to Washington for the NA Perl Conference. I thought about coming over to Washington at one point (I have some very good friends living in Washington and nearby in Virginia), but I finally gave up the idea.	[reply]

See, a missed opportunity. You could have sailed to Washington, done a conference, seen friends, and sailed home. Or do you not have a bluewater-rated boat? (If that's the case, we should hope for lots of book sales to facilitate the purchase of such.)	[reply]

I would have been glad to do that. :-) Among my non-professional activities, I'm a sailing instructor. So you can probably imagine that I would love to sail to Washington and back, but I probably don't have enough vacation for that.	[reply]
