in thread CGI hangs unless print

Thanks for your reply
What do you mean by go away?
I did this in the code:
my $ofh = select STDOUT; $| = 1; select $ofh;
I found it by googling, which usually works for me :)

    The AnonyMonk is saying in a grumpy way what roboticus and GrandFather have said more clearly and cogently: Without seeing the code you're using, the monks can only make more or less wild guesses about what's happening. These guesses probably won't help you, and will waste the gentle monks' time, thus making them grumpy. Please see Short, Self-Contained, Correct Example.

      "...waste the gentle monks' time, thus making them grumpy"

      There is no need to kick a friendly novice in the ass like in this case. The AnonyMonk was not gentle. Too much intolerance on PM. No Perl shari'ah please.

        I agree. I wanted to caution against a failing that might risk frustrating the good monks roboticus and GrandFather and thus add them to the ranks of the grumpy.

        OH! I see. Sorry did not mean to waste anyone's time. I thought there must be a very common already known issue with print and hangs. That I as a very infrequent user was clueless about. I need to figure out how to give you the example because the code is very long. And how to get it to compile since I interface with a company database....

        Alright, I'll have to get back to you on this.
