"Trying to build a democracy ...

What is it with you social justice warriors and "democracy?" You are drinking the Kool Aide. Democracy is 2 wolves and 1 sheep deciding what is for dinner. You guys always get used and tossed to the wayside in history. Thanks for helping the bad guys win.

What you describe is stone age democracy, where a "majority" thinks it can rewrite fundamental rules.

One symptom in real life is calling judges "enemies of the state", the next throwing opposition into jail.

We here follow rules, it doesn't matter how many monks like or dislike a Perl related technology, they are free to discuss, as long as they follow the rules.

And this will never change, because admins here are chosen not elected.

Update: IMO they'd rather stop maintaining the site, than accepting a change in fundamental rules.
