CPAN, the <code>use</code>able FAQ

I have transfer logs from my wu-ftpd server. Is there something that might parse this Net::FTPServer::XferLog?

I really could use an HTML::Parser. Where might I find one? In fact, given that I want to traverse all element in a depth-first manner, I could really use an HTML::TreeBuilder? How do I write one?

You know, as a physicist I sometimes want to perform Quantum::Superpositions on my data. There was nothing on this in the Perl CookBook. I think I will write a script to do it.

As far as I'm concerned there is little difference between array references and hash references. Perl goes to great lengths to make them syntactically distinct, but basically in terms of access, an array is a hash which uses numbers as it's keys. How can I force arrays and hashes to be largely similar Data::DRefs?

Are you telling that this so-called systems programming language Perl can't programmatically send subprocesses input based on their output? I would Expect something this trivial to have been solved a long time ago.

Very slick, PrincePawn. However if I may pick a bone, Quantum::Superpositions doesn't actually do physics. It's better name would be Math::SetTheory because what it really does is provide the union, intersection, Min{} and Max{} operators for use on sets. It is regrettably not very useful for extracting information from waveforms, or building waveforms from observed data. The superposition aspect of the module is supposed to be the idea that operators act on the 'states' of the object, but in reality it is doing operations on a set of discreet elements. Don't think that I'm bagging it out, I use it heavily and love it. But it would be false advertising to tell people that perl does Quantum Superpositions. ____________________ Jeremy I didn't believe in evil until I dated it.	[reply]

5{ think that I'm bagging it out, </code> Without looking, I think some of Jarko Hietaniemi's(or however you spell that guy's name) modules such as Set::Scalar or Set::Bag or the Multiset one might replicate it's functionality.	[reply]

And lest we forget: My life is miserably lonely, can Perl help me Bone::Easy? I'm wasting toner printing these modules. Can I Acme::Bleach them? I'm in awe of Erudil's ob-fu. Instead of a camel, can I make an Acme::Pony?	[reply]
