We (all monks) really just need to think of the "title" field as "where you put the keywords" (or really, key phrases).

I reckon we are the only monastery ever to have a dungeon stuffed with 16,000 zombies.

    Perhaps the simplest mechanism would be to turn the problem on its head to provide a semi automated solution.

    That is, since most of the animosity is towards non-perl5 posts; have a pre-checked checkbox next to the title field on the create screen labeled [x]Perl5; and ask people to un-check it if their post is not strictly Perl5, and add perl5 to all new posts where it is left checked.

    Then the "nothing but Perl(5)" guys have a clear indication of which posts are suitable for them and the rest of us can make our choices on what sounds interesting to us.
