I'm not sure but it seems that nodes are only included after they've been voted on, such that neutral nodes are omitted.

That is nodes with 0 votes are only shown when up and downs happened and equalized.

But showing neutral nodes should soften this effect considerably.. .

        But I'm thinking maybe we should revisit the whole idea of having "Best Nodes" lists. Why do we have them? If it's to serve as motivation, to get people to try to create the best nodes they can, then I'd say we should probably have a lower rep bound somewhat higher than zero. How "awesome" does it feel to make the "Best Nodes of the Day" list with a node that only has 5 rep? Maybe the lower bound could be based on $NORM...
