in reply to Modifying .hwp (Hangul Word Processor) files without conversion

The HWP binary format specification has been published online free by Hancom on June 29, 2010 (see for example https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hangul_(word_processor)).

I looked through the Wikipedia page (including references), and I don't see anything about the binary format specification. I can't seem to find it on Google either... hope I'm not just blind. Maybe I should try Korean Google. Do you have a link to where I can get this information? I'd appreciate it. Edit: Crap it's the one in Korean isn't it. Damn, guess I'll have to google translate it or hopefully find it in English.
Thanks, unfortunately there doesn't seem to be any particularly useful information on this page :( Gah. HWP shouldn't even exist... it is a pretty awful format compared to .docx!
Sorry, I do not know more than what is in the Wikipedia page I linked to. I looked at it because I did not even know what Hangul was, nor the the HWP format. Presumably, the specification in on this page: http://www.hancom.co.kr/userofficedata.userofficedataList.do?menuFlag=3, or linked to within this page, but I do not know Korean at all, so I can't help you further.

Edit: Your Mother provided the link while I was fighting with my computer and Internet connection over mobile network, so (s)he was the first to provide the link I have above.

Well actually I found the link from the Wikipedia page you linked so don't give away the credit haha. Well the information therein is pretty useless so I guess I will have to find an alternative approach... Thanks though.
