Well, "in theory" you could also go to London when coming from overseas. You can go by train to Cluj, but that will take you a day. The real question is: Why not use the stop-over in Warsaw for sight seeing? I mean, when you're already there, you might as well decide to spend the night or even a couple of days - it's a very nice town, after all.
