When you see a bad/stupid line of code in someone else's code, what are you most likely to do?

  • Fix it
  • Make a note to fix it
  • Complain about it
  • Make fun of it
  • Confront the author and suggest a fix
  • Leave a comment about it
  • Blog about it
  • Try to exploit it
  • It depends on...(please explain)

    It depends on where it happens: at work, on GitHub, in a CPAN module, in the script I discovered after my server was hacked...
    ($q=q:Sq=~/;[c](.)(.)/;chr(-||-|5+lengthSq)`"S|oS2"`map{chr |+ord }map{substrSq`S_+|`|}3E|-|`7**2-3:)=~y+S|`+$1,++print+eval$q,q,a,

      Good point. It also may likely depends on the coder as well. Known or unknown. Friends, coworker, boss, et al. Added an "it depends" option.
