Well your first problem is that you need to use quotes to wrap the items in your array.
The second issue is that you are using symbolic references to get an array ref. That is to say you are looking up the reference points to the name of the array rather than a direct link to the array. Is there any reason you can't push onto a plain old array or a dereferenced hard reference? Here is an example with a hard reference;
vroom | Tim Vroom | vroom@blockstackers.com
